Let's start off by noting that
at no time during a heat should your dog be doing this:

*sigh*
Okay. Moving right along with the narrative...
We took two teams. The Patriots, a Multi Breed team, consisted
of Jakers, Honey, Brutus, and Wee-Bee. Airborne, the Regular
team, consisted of Reno, Jake, Stella, and Daisy.
The weather was excellent for racing - in the mid-80s, but it
was a little muggy, which made it feel warmer. It was a two ring
tournament with 101 races on Saturday, and 93 on Sunday.
Racing went very well on both days, both teams ran fine. Stella
decided to take the afternoon off on Saturday, but Gyp stepped
in to give her a little break, and Stella was fine on Sunday.
Saturday both teams finished second in their divisions. I think
racing ended around 4 PM. RF Revolution were very efficient
getting us in and out of the rings!
Sunday morning there was an issue because the person at the Parks
& Rec Dept who was in charge of ensuring the sprinklers did not
go on apparently had major brain fade. Ralph and Barbara arrived at
5:30 to find the field and all of the club camps soaked. In
spite of that setback, Revolution Flyball had the races starting
only 15 minutes later than scheduled. I think racing was over by
3:30 in spite of an unexpected sneaky rain shower!
Sunday both teams finished FIRST in their divisions.
Honey and Stella earned their FDCH Silver titles, and Jakers won
his FDCH Gold title.
What a great weekend! Many thanks to RF Revolution for
putting on such a fantastic tournament!
